CREATE YOUR OWN FRANCHISE
I have my SER Marketing class divide into
4-person groups that are charged with creating their own professional
sports franchise. (I modified a webquest I found on the Internet to
serve as an initial guide.) To be decided by groups:
- sports league to enter
- team location (justified by their
demographic, economic, etc. research)
- team name (justified by their demographic
& cultural research)
- team colors (ditto)
- team logo (ditto)
- team member responsibilities: President,
VP of Stadium & Facilities, VP or Marketing & PR, VP of Sales
This is a year-long project supplemented
by mini-projects for several 2nd semester curriculum units. Attached
is a detailed lesson plan, as well as several evaluation sheets for various
aspects of the project.
