Fashion Through the Decades Project

Overview:
Students will be ASSIGNED a decade to research.
Students will create a presentation of their assigned decade to present to the class. Presentations may be done in PowerPoint or a typed portfolio.

Competencies covered: 8140.010, 8140.011, 8140.013, 8140.014, 8140.105

Project Criteria:
Your project MUST include the following information:

1. A report on the fashions of the decade.
2. 15 pictures or sketches showing the fashion of the decade.
3. A report on the historical events of the decade that influenced fashion.
4. A report on the influential designers of the decade.
5. Bibliography of ALL sources. Including website addresses. (Just "internet" will not count.)
6. "Extra's" of the decade. Find at least one extra material of the decade to show to the class. For example, you may use but are not limited to: a movie clip, a book of the times, an article of clothing.


Grading:
Presentation (20 points)
Fashion of the decade report (15 points)
Pictures/Sketches (15 points)
Historical Influence (15 points)
Influencial designers (15 points)
Bibliography (10 points)
"Extra" item (10 points)
"Extra" items brought in can earn you up to (20 bonus points)

PowerPoint users: Turn in PowerPoint on a disk AND print slides.
Portfolio users: Must be typed and in a notebook.
