Professional Dress For Marketing Occupations
Scenario: You have just completed
college and are about to begin your career as a public relations assistant
in a large PR firm. The office is extremely conservative and requires
you to dress according to the guidelines you were given in your marketing
class. You will need a minimum of five professional dress outfits, one
for each day of the week. However, you are on a limited budget. You
have only $1,000 to spend. (You can adjust the budget to whatever you
think is appropriate.)
Assignment: You are to complete
the task given to you in the scenario listed above. The outfits should
be compiled in either a scrapbook or a poster. Creativity is encouraged!
A budget must be included. The grading scale is listed below.

***These are the guidelines I use for professional dress
Men: Dark suits, White shirts,
conservative ties, socks, shoes that will hold a shine and a belt that
matches the shoes. They will also need a white t-shirt to wear under
the dress shirt.
Females: Business suits (I
explain the difference between a business suit and a dress suit), conservative
business dresses, hosiery, closed toe and closed heel conservative pumps,
and a slip or other appropriate undergarments.
