FASHION ACCESSORY EXERCISE

OBJECTIVE: To develop an understanding of the components of fashion in the area of
accessory design.

DIRECTIONS: Students are to use one of the basic handbag silhouettes (envelope, box or pouch style) and create their own design.

• Each design must include all four of the components of fashion.
• The design may be an illustration on paper with an explanation of each component.
• The design may be a prototype with an explanation of each component accompanying it.

EVALUATION: Grading will be on the following point system.

• The four components used and identified = 80 points
• Work was done neatly = 5 points
• Followed directions = 5 points
• Quality = 10 points
