FASHION CAREER PROJECT

While teaching employability skills I let the students research jobs in the fashion industry. We discuss the more popular careers that people have started researching and then I give information on careers that the students might not know about.

After we have discussed many of the fashion careers the students are interested in I assign the Fashion Career Project. (See assignment sheet) This is an informational brochure that they are to create to explain all of the aspects of their chosen career and how it will affect their life. We try to have everyone do a different career so we can all learn from each other.

They have two weeks to complete this project and some class time is included. On the date the project is due each student presents their brochure and tells us about their career. The class is encouraged to add information when the student is done.
