  • Determine the information’s validity, accuracy and quality
  • Collect information, using a variety of electronic sources
  • Synthesize information to support the thesis
  • Prioritize information


Expected Student Outcomes
The student is expected to complete a report on the impact of e-commerce on businesses and industries based on information they obtain from Internet sources.  Students are expected to follow all guidelines for the report.  They are cited under Procedure and Handout – E-Commerce Report Guidelines.

Materials Needed
1. Access to the Internet to conduct research
2. Folder to keep information 

Prerequisite Skills
Students should be able to access information from the Internet.  They should also be familiar with collecting and summarizing information for research.

Procedure
Students will complete a report on the impact of e-commerce on business and/or industries.  To complete the project they will follow the following guidelines:

  • Use the Internet to locate information on how e-commerce is impacting businesses and industries
  • Keep a folder with all information collected.
  • Students need to include the following in their report:
    • Cover Page
    • Table of Contents
    • An overview of e-commerce
    • A description of the impact of e-commerce on worker’s, financial impact and benefits.
    • A bibliography that includes informative web sites
