A
GOOD IMPRESSION?
GROUP ACTIVITY
#1 from “Elements of the Sport/Event Product”
Preparation: Gather enough sporting goods to have one for each group
of two or three students in your class.
Process: Divide the class into groups of two or three students each.
Give each group one of the sporting goods. Ask the groups to quickly
evaluate the sporting good’s product characteristics of branding
and quality. What is the overall impression they get from the product’s
branding? How do they feel about its name, logo, or trademark? Do they
think this product has a positive brand image? How do they evaluate
its quality in terms of performance, serviceability, features, durability,
reliability, and design? Ask each group to assign a spokesperson to
present its findings to the class.
