International Print Ad

Requirements of International Ad

  • Select a product/service that fills a void in another country.  Write a paragraph rational about why you chose them.
  • Draw, attach, download a graphic of your product or an appropriate picture for your service.  Graphics are a must!
  • Your copy (writing) must be in the language appropriate to the country.  NO ENGLISH!  Be sure that your slogan and the words you choose translate well into the foreign language.
  • Attach a translation of your copy to your ad on a separate piece of paper.
  • Complete a thumbnail sketch (draft) and have a classmate “proof” it for you before beginning the final copy ready ad.  Attach the thumbnail sketch.
  • Be sure that your target market knows where/how to purchase your good/service.
  • Include demographics about your target market:
    • age
    • gender
    • marital status
    • education
    • lifestyle
    • specific geographic location
    • other pertinent information
  • Site the appropriate media for your ad. (newspaper, magazine, billboard, etc.)  Be specific! 
  • Be prepared to share you ad with the class.
