ANALYZING THE COMPETITION



Find any two companies on the Internet who compete in the same industry.    In one-and-a-half to two pages, compare and contrast the two you selected sites on any ten of the following criteria:

  •   the strategic focus 
  •   target users/stakeholders served 
  •   performance/appearance/navigation of the site 
  •   source(s) of value to users 
  •   customer orientation/relationship marketing 
  •   product strategy 
  •   pricing strategy 
  •   advertising strategy 
  •   sales promotion strategy 
  •   public relations strategy 
  •   distribution strategy 
  •   positioning strategy 
  •   service strategy 
  •   overall marketing effectiveness
