THE PROFILE PROJECT

To help you become more familiar with companies that are frequently noted for their marketing techniques, you will choose a company from the list printed on the reverse side or another choice approved by me to profile.  Your profile of this company will include the following information:

1. Name of your company
2. Mission Statement
3. Who is the CEO?
4. What is their logo/brand symbol?
5. Where is the company located?
6. How old is the company?
7. Describe the products they market
8. Provide three examples of how they are socially responsible.

You will create a written document that communicates your profile.  You may choose to either:

 A. Write a 1-2 page report 
(10-12 pt. Times, double-spaced)

B.  Create a PowerPoint presentation (minimum 5-6 slides)
Each project will be required to have a Title Page that states:
1. Name of the company
2. Your name
3. Copy of the logo/brand symbol of your company

Each project will also be required to have a Bibliography that identifies a minimum of two sources.  If you cite Internet sites, you must give the complete URL address.

All students will present their company to the class, so that everyone will benefit from the research that has been collected.  To develop an interesting presentation, each student is required to create a visual aid to communicate his or her company’s information.  You may choose to do one of the following options for your visual aid:

1. Create a poster that depicts who the company is visually.  You might include: Brands, pictures of products, logos, characters associated with products, mottos, slogans, etc.

2. Create a timeline of the history of your company.  You might include: Important dates in the company’s history, artwork that illustrates what took place on those dates.

3. Research the CEO of your company and create their visual profile.  Who is He/She?  Are they married?  Children?  Where have they been educated?  What previous jobs have they held?  Include a photograph if possible.

4. Create a map (US or world, whichever is applicable to your company) that locates where the company has places of operation and where their products are sold.

5. Create a video about your company.  You might include commercials, TV programming

6. Create a song or poem that describes the philosophy of your company.
