(Objectives):
- The student will be able to identify
various elements of the promotional mix using various Web sites.
- The student will be able to explain
the purpose of each of the elements of the promotional mix being used.
Materials Needed to Teach the Lesson:
- MarkEd LAP PR-001 “Promotional Mix”
for background information on the elements of the promotional mix,
factors affecting promotional mix. (or suitable textbook)
- Computer Lab with at least 1 computer
for every two students.

Procedures: (An Introduction Section,
A Development Section, and A Closure Section)
Introduction
Spend the first day of the lesson in the
classroom going over the information in LAP PR-001. By the end
of this lesson, the students should have a good, basic understanding
of the promotional mix, it’s elements, and their purposes. Explain
the procedure to the followed the next day at the computers.
Procedure
1. Students will be given a handout when
they arrive at their computers. On the handout will be a list
of Web sites for them to go to and some questions about those sites.
If you have a Web site for the course, you could link the sites to your
Web page. Students are to visit and answer questions about ONLY
the sites given.
2. The students should visit the sites
listed and answer the questions.
Closure
After all students have completed
the handout. Go over the information with them. Compare
information from the students’ papers. A brief quiz at the beginning
of the next class period could be given to assess individual learning,
if students are sharing computers.
