Membership
is the heart and soul of Virginia DECA. We need you! As a result,
Virginia DECA wants to make every Virginia
Chapter a SUPERSTAR CHAPTER!

All chapters meeting this
goal will be considered a Virginia DECA SUPERSTAR CHAPTER! (To see
how many members YOUR chapter needs to become a Superstar Chapter,
visit the Superstar pages.) SLC attendees
of all superstar chapters will receive recognition at SLC, as well
as a glow star to wear at the opening session. Don't be left out!
In 2005-2006,
Virginia DECA not only retained its status as the nation's largest
state association, but it also became the largest in the HISTORY
OF THE ORGANIZATION!!! And if that wasn't enough, we did it again
in 2006-2007 with 13,065 members. Let's keep the momentum rolling
into the 2007-2008 school year, and build those superstar chapters!

Remember,
membership procedures have changed significantly. Virginia, along
with the rest of the nation, will be utilizing DECA,
Inc.'s online membership system, and I'm confident that you'll
like the changes, as well as the instant feedback. However,
for the sake of DECA, Inc, be forewarned that your members will
not be considered "official" until they are paid for!
We will, however, count them for the sake of DLC and SLC once their
names have been submitted, and will consider this as your commitment.
This will impact who may participate in conferences and other events,
so you'll need to stay on top of things. For complete instructions,
please refer to Section B of your
Chapter Management Guide.
Dues are:
$6 State
$8 National
$14 Total Per Member
