SUBSTITUTIONS:
Substitutions may be made for ONE of the team members on
a team decision making event. At least one of the members on
each team MUST be an original SLC winner or runner up.
Substitutions may be made on a
chapter project team (CMP, CSP, EPP, LEP, PRP), but there must
be at least one original member of the winning SLC team.
No substitutions may be made
for any other written events. If an original SLC winner
or runner up cannot attend, the remaining winners of the team
may still present. If all members of that team cannot attend,
we will invite the next person in line.
Important Note: The
delegation is limited to the number of conferees permitted by
DECA Inc. This number is based on Virginia’s DECA Inc.
membership.
The delegation may be further
limited by the number of adults that will attend. Each
chapter requires a minimum of one adult for each 8
students in attendance. You may have more adults, thereby
reducing the teacher to student ratio.
To be considered for a "special
permission" slot, e-mail or fax your request, and an explanation
of why you should be selected (one page or less, please!) immediately
following the conclusion of SLC. Slots will be awarded
based on:
- Merit,
- Involvement in other ICDC
events (such as voting delegate, School based enterpriser
presenter, membership campaign recipient, etc.),
- Timeliness of request (first
come, first serve, to a large extent), and
- Availability of rooms.
