Come and join
us as Virginia DECA takes Washington D.C. by storm! May of 2007 (exact
date TBD) will be Virginia DECA Day with the Nationals. With Major League
Baseball right in our own backyard, find out the marketing aspects of
the game. Learn more about careers in sports, how professional baseball
teams market themselves, sponsorships, corporate sales and skyboxes,
and much more! Here's what was scheduled for 2006:
- 3:30 Chapters check-in
- 4:00 p.m. Presenter's series.
Presenters will include:
- Carleen Martin- Dir.
Of Marketing will speak to group about the Washington Nationals
marketing plan
- Tony Tavares- President
of the Washington Nationals will speak about other aspects of
the operation of the team
- 4:45 Batting practice. (DECA
members may stay in the lower level for this. This will be a great opportunity
to meet some players, get a few autographs, etc.)
- 7:05 Game time! Washington
Nationals vs. Los Angeles Dodgers
Cost: $19
(Price includes a lower view outfield/Upper View Box ticket, as well
as a $10 Aramark voucher to buy food at the park)
