DECA
at King George High School works with all of the community organizations
in King George County to put on the Annual King George Fall Festival.
This year was the 46th year of the event, taking place the weekend
of October 9th, 2004, and including a parade through the town, a fair,
a bar-b-que lunch, a dance, and a queen pageant (where four DECA ladies
competed!). For the third year in a row, King George DECA has prepared
and served the Bar-B-Que lunch, making the special secret sauce from
scratch! All the money raised at the activities of this weekend event
go to the local King George County fire and rescue volunteer squads.
Initial tally figures are showing that the Bar-B-Que lunch raised
over three times as much money this year over last year! DECA at King
George High School is very excited to be part of this long-standing
community tradition!
Congratulations, King George!
