Virginia DECA Specialist
Candidates are responsible for coordinating and administering student
organization activities, including meetings, conferences, and other
co-curricular programs. The candidate is responsible for the overall
management of the organization, including finance and budgeting, planning,
and execution of new and existing programs. A Bachelors degree in Marketing
Education or a related career or technical education field is required.
A Masters degree or professional experience equivalent to a Masters
degree is preferred. Applicants must be licensed and certified to teach
marketing education at the secondary level, and must have been a professional/advisory
level member of a career and technical education co-curricular student
organization for at least three years. Experience with DECA is preferred.
