| Technical workshops will be conducted on July 1-2 at Old Dominion University, and are described in the course outline as mandatory. Among other things, the workshops will teach you how to manipulate Netscape Composer and construct Web pages. Even if you already know how to build Web pages with other software (or from scratch), you will still be held accountable for this knowledge! While I can provide you with Web sites and other tutorials that will assist you, you need to make every effort to attend. If, for some reason, you cannot attend, you must understand that you will be responsible for the material and you may struggle through the remainder of the course. The ability to build web pages is not enough. You must learn to use this software to successfully complete this course. WRITTEN instructor pre-approval must be obtained in order to receive a waiver from the workshops. The logic behind this philosophy will become apparent as we move into the course. |
