Virginia DECA is once again
proud to have two corporate partners working with us to keep Virginia
DECA growing! Please be sure and thank them when you see them, and be
sure to patronize their establishments, as well! Here's what they're
willing to offer you this year. Be sure and take advantage of it!
A
true friend of Virginia DECA, Hardee's has once again teamed with our
membership in many ways. In addition to the free drink and
fries you get with every sandwich purchase**, Hardee's is involved
with Virginia DECA in many other ways. They hire our members, sponsor
our Quick Serve Restaurant Management event at SLC (providing scholarship
money for those that move on to ICDC!), volunteer judges at district
and SLC events, assist chapters with fundraising events (see lesson
107), and even visit our classrooms, providing each of us with insight
on the real world of marketing, as well as career opporunities with
Boddie-Noel. Most recently that have taken a seat on the newly formed
Virginia DECA Foundation. Visit them on the Web at hardees.com,
and visit their restaurants for some delicious food! Just be sure you
have your membership card when you go!
**You must be a
paid Virginia DECA member. Card must be presented at time of purchase.
See membership card for details.
Finish
Line joined hands with Virginia DECA several years ago, and we have
had an great partnership ever since. As our partner, Finish
Line has been involved with our chapters in many ways. Not only
does Finish Line
welcome your application for employment, but would love to be more involved
with you and your chapter by judging at your district events, as well
as coming to your classroom and working with you on the many aspects
of marketing that they know so well! Take advantage of it. In addition,
Finish Line has also taken a seat on the Virginia DECA Foundation Board
of directors. For Finish
Line contact information in your area, contact the Virginia
DECA office.

DECA members battle
the rain in support of the VTSF.

Two years ago the
Virginia Tobacco Settlement Foundation, coupled with the Ydouthink
campaign, worked with Virginia DECA in many aspects, including providing
workshops, premiums, bringing the "Rantmobile" to many of
your local/regional events, and even offering our members a behind the
scenes opportunity to work the "Slam and Jam" concert tour
featuring Aaron Carter and Monica. The VTSF has also taken a prominent
role on the Virginia DECA Foundation Board of Directors, and will likely
be a partner of Virginia DECA for years to come. Keep them involved
in your chapter activities, and take advantage of what they have offered
us!
