Karen G. Carter

PhD Emphasis: Occupational and Technical Studies, then either Career and Technical Education, Human Resources-Training, or Technology Education

Program Entrance Date: Summer 2006

Current Job:  Dual Enrollment/Governor’s School Coordinator with Mountain Empire Community College

Projected Jobs: Professor and Researcher

Future Aspirations: My future aspiration is to become a professor with an educational institution that serves our military and their dependents while overseas.  Were it not for these professors, I would not have been able to continue my education while living aboard with my husband as he served his country.   Plus this is a great way to see the world and to build a “sympathy” vision of the world’s ever changing dynamics.  Thus, not only will I be helping someone else down the educational road but continuing mine as well.
