department at Old Dominion
University. I have
a Ph.D. in philosophy, as well as an M.A. in
economics, from the University
of Pittsburgh. My B.A., in
philosophy and political science, is from Wichita
State University. My main
research interests are John
Stuart Mill (pictured
above), moral theory (especially utilitarianism),
