Dave Netherton is retired from the Department of
Occupational and Technical Studies where he previously was a Senior Lecturer and the
Program Leader for the Fashion, Training Specialist, and Marketing Education
Programs. He is currently the Director of the Virginia Assistive Technology System
Southeast Region Site. He continues to work with PhD students who are pursuing
their studies in training and career and technical education. Dave is active in
professional research and service in career and technical education and training. His
research interests are in the area of workforce development and vocational special needs.
He has served twice as national president of Iota Lambda Sigma Honor Society in
Workforce Development and serves as editor of the Iota Lambda Sigma Journal in
Workforce Development. He received the Distinguished Teaching Award from the Old
Dominion University Chapter of Phi Delta Kappa.
