Responsibilities |
Honor
Code:
Your tests, exams and papers are expected to be your own work with
help from only those sources specifically authorized by the instructor.
These graded items should be covered by the signed honor pledge as
follows:
"I have neither given nor received unauthorized aid on this assignment,
nor do I have reason to believe that anyone else has."
In doing your homework, you are encouraged to work in groups. Each
student should do the final work; however, help from others is authorized.
When references are used in any work submitted, proper credit should
be given.
Attendance:
Please do not come to class late; late entry into the lecture hall
is disruptive.

| Study
Aids |
A list
of general references is provided for supplementary reading for
those so motivated. A list of key words is provided as a guide to
some of the terminology with which you need to be familiar.
|
|
Reports |
Two reports
are required. Each report should thoroughly describe the ecology and
distribution of a specific plant species. This includes its range,
microenvironmental requirements, relationships with the community
of which it is a member, characteristics of that community, and adaptive
traits of the plant. The plants chosen for the two reports must come
from different vegetation regions. The topics must be approved by
the instructor. Use the required guidelines for format, which you
have been provided. One report is due by March 5 and the second
is due by April 26. No reports will be accepted after these
deadlines.
