Belief
in a Just World
Dr. Richard Sherman
at Miami University maintains a number of web pages
created by students
in his Advanced Social Psychology course. This
web site explores the just world hypothesis. Do you have a belief in
a just world? Think of times when you, or someone you know have engaged
in blaming the victim. Why would rape victims be blamed for their situation
when victims of other crimes are not? How can a belief in a just world
be harmful in social interactions? Can you think of ways that it is useful
for us?
Post your responses
on the BB where it says Belief in a Just world. Open that post and then
click on post reply, NOT post new topic. Also, always be sure to click
on the box that says include your full signiture. That way I can track
your participation.
