EventsCurrently we are meeting along with the Meeting with the ODU Math/Stat club.The inaugural meeting of the Chapter is scheduled on Thursday, March 27 between 12:30-1:30pm. Location TBA. April Meeting will be held on Friday, April 18 between 3:00-5:00pm. Location TBA. Students are encouraged to present your research at this meeting. There will be a session for an invited plenary speaker also. AY 08-09: SIAM Math Awareness Conference Program (posted on April 24, 08) What are you working on? Interested in talking about it? We are looking to host a mini conference at the end of each semester, and are looking for student speakers. If you'd be willing to give a talk about your research and the math behind it, please contact us. JoiningIf you are interested in joining the ODU SIAM chapter, email us. We are in the process of setting up a mailing list. Until then, a simple email to us will get you CC'd on all announcements and information.Membership to SIAM iteslf is free to all students of ODU, and highly encouraged. All members will receive monthly copies of SIAM News, and a yearly copy of SIAM Review. Members are also granted discounts on SIAM books, and journals.
