Math 622. Numerical Ordinary Differential Equations. Lecture 3 hours; 3
credits. Prerequisite: MATH 409/509. An in-depth study of the numerical
solution to ordinary differential and partial equations. Topics include linear
multi-step methods, Runge-Kutta methods, methods for stiff differential
equations, collocation methods, and strong and weak stability analysis for
ODEs. For PDEs, finite difference methods are examined. This course is designated as a simulation
course.
