Coverage:             Parts of Chapters 1,2,3,4,5,7 and 8.

 

Grading                3 Tests                   65 % (May 22, June 5 and June 19  –50 min test each)

Policy:                  Final Exam.           35 %  (Wednesday, June 26 5:45-8:45pm)

 

                             A: 90-100%

                             B: 80-89%

                             C: 70-79%

                             D: 60-69%

                             F: below 60%

 

                             Tests and the final examination will be closed book.

 

Important Dates:  Monday, May 27   Memorial Day- No Class

                             Friday, June 8  Last Day to withdraw from Session 5                

                             Wednesday, June 26   Final Exam 5:45-8:45pm

 

Important Notes:  There will be NO MAKE-UP  tests. If a student misses a test for a reason

                             approved by the instructor (e.g. in serious circumstances beyond the control of the

                             student, in which case medical or other documentation must be subsequently provided),

                             the final examination grade will be recorded for the missed grade.

 

                             A word about homework: I do not require you to hand in your homework, but I do expect

                             you to do it, or at the very least, seek help from me if you get stuck. Homework problems    

                             are assigned on a separate sheet. Keep a notebook for homework problems that you can  

                             show me if you come to office hours for help.
