Coverage: Parts of Chapters 1,2,3,4,5, 6 and 7.
Grading 4 Tests 70 % (Dates are noted below.)
Policy: Final Exam. 30 % (Tuesday, December 14, 12:30pm-3:30pm)
A: 90-100%
B: 80-89%
C: 70-79%
D: 60-69%
F: below 60%
Tests and the final examination will be closed book.
Important Dates: Labor Day Holiday -Monday, September 6
Fall Break -Sat-Tues, October 9-12
Last Day to withdraw -Tuesday, October 26
Thanksgiving Holiday -Wed-Sun, November 24-28
Final Exam -Tuesday, December 14, 12:30pm-3:30pm
Important Notes: There will be NO MAKE-UP tests. If a student misses a test for a reason
approved by the instructor (e.g. in serious circumstances beyond the control of the
student, in which case medical or other documentation must be subsequently provided),
the final examination grade will be recorded for the missed grade.
A word about homework: I do not require you to hand in your homework, but I do expect
you to do it, or at the very least, seek help from me if you get stuck. Homework problems
are assigned on a separate sheet. Keep a notebook for homework problems that you can
show me if you come to office hours for help.
