For the past 4 years, the ODU HFES Student Chapter has proudly hosted Student Monday, a student oriented session, at the HFES Annual Meeting. Student Monday is a panel series intended to facilitate student developement.
Previous sessions have focused on topics such as: The Internship Experience, How to Publish, How to get a Job in Academia, Industry, and Government and Experiencec from Leaders in the Field.

Once a month the HFES ODU Student Chaper in collaboration with IOPSA and AEPSA, invite reginional professionals to come and share thier research and professional experiences with the group. Student members are also encouraged to share and discuss research ideas during these sessions.
The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society has designated each October as National Ergonomics Month (NEM). The purpose of NEM is to create awareness of human factors and ergonomics through grassroots, community-based activities at colleges and universities, high schools, and corporations.
