OpenSource Software Packages
A number of OpenSource software packages have been installed on the SMP systems. UNIX software generally found on most UNIX systems is available as well as several mathmatical libraries packages and HPC software packages such as mpich. There are too many to list here.
To learn which OpenSource software packages have been installed, please list the contents of the following directories on the system you want to use.
- Mathmatical and HPC software packages
- From a sol-login.lions2.odu.edu host run:
- USIV32 or USIV64
- hydra
- belize
- General UNIX utilities
- From a sol-login.lions2.odu.edu host run:
- ssh smp_system pkginfo
- replace smp_system with hydra or belize
- ls /afs/lions/sun4x_58/hpc/sun
This directory is local to all SMP system. The name of the installed package reveals where the software runs:
