Application packages listed here run in the LIONS HPC environment.

• IMSL by Visual Numerics, Inc. (OCCS)

This list includes only the more popular commercially-developed applications and is not exhaustive; many other applications can run in the LIONS HPC environment.

If the package title above is followed by an OCCS label, then OCCS has a license for and has installed a copy of the application for all LIONS users. The application package is available and ready for your use.

For any commercially-developed application you want to use, ask your academic department if they have a license for it, especially if OCCS does not have a license for it as indicated above. You can use departmentally-licensed applications only with permission from the specific department.

Note that more than one entity (e.g., department or individual) can have a license and an installed copy of an application. For example, while OCCS has a license for SAS, at least one academic department has a license for and has its own installed copy of SAS. Likewise, each of several academic departments has its own license and copy of CFX or MATLAB.
