Physics 231 Evaluations 1997

Prof L. Weinstein

My comments: The first two weeks of this course were taught in a temporary lecture hall while the new oceanography/physics building was completed. The remainder was taught in a lecture hall with significant deficiencies (very noisy, poor acoustics, poor sightlines). The numerical evaluations clearly reflect these difficulties.

My summary of the comments:

  1. This is a very hard course.
  2. Some students do not want to do the homework. They do not understand that if you do not solve the homework problems yourself, you will not learn (ie: I cannot teach you physics, I can only make it easier for you to teach yourself physics).

These comments were written by students and transcribed by the Physics Department. These are all of the comments received for this course.
