Chapter 2 Errata | |
Pg 50: Fig 2-1 |
The figure is oversized. Both top and bottom are cropped off. |
Pg 60: Eqns 2-18 |
The ACL equation should have a negative sign in front of Rf. |
Pg 67: Item 2, line 2 | Should read: ...the output of the preceding stage or signal source in the lower..... |
Pg 69: Eqns 2-31 | Add the following before the -100k/5k : -Rf/Ri (don't forget to use subscripts when you add the variables in) |
Pg 69: Eqns 2-34 & 2-35 | Have Ri and Rs in the wrong order. They don't match the placement of the actual values. |
Pg 70: 2 lines above eqn. (2-36) |
should read: "105," vice "104 " |
Pg 73: 2nd paragraph from bottom |
"... load current iL, a voltage iL" should read "... load current iL, a voltage vL" |
Pg 74: Fig 2-16a | Note should end with the word "operation" vice "opera" |
Pg 75: Eqn 2-52 |
The current in the equation should have absolute value marks around it. |
Pg 75: Fig 2-17 | The ground symbol has been chopped in half |
Pg 78: Para after Eqn 2-60 | The negative sign is, of course, a result of the fact that for a positive reference input current, the output voltage is negative. One then has the choice as to whether to define Rm as R or -R. The author chose (correctly, I believe) to define it as R and then accept the additional minus sign. |
Pg 79: Fig 2-20b | This is NOT AN ERROR. R1's voltage is really V2 due to the virtual short. |
Pg 79: Eqn. 2-63 |
The eqn should read iL=ii+i1 |
Pg 82: Eqn. 2-74b | V1/R1 should be positive |
Pg 83: Eqn. 2-78 | In the 1st line of the equation, V1 should have a neg sign. |
Pg 87: Fig. 2-27a | Eqn should end with a lower case v2 vice V2 |
Pg 87: Fig. 2-27b |
The input to the circuit is listed as vi and it should be listed as v1. |
Pg 101: Fig. 2-3 | The non-inverting terminal should be labeled with vi and the output should have a vo on it. Both should be marked with polarities with the positive on top. |
Pg 101: Prob. 2-3 |
The Ri should be 10k vice 10 ohms |
Pg 104: Fig P2-17 |
The output voltage isn't labeled. |
Pg. 108: Prob 2-44 |
Move the 2-44 up 2 lines to the front of "It is desired to add four..." |
Pg. 110: LE 2-5 | Figure 2-19 should be Figure 2-20 |
Pg. 647--Prob 2-1c and 2-3c | The answers should have the unit, ohms, listed. |
Pg. 647--Prob 2-1E and 2-3E | The first answer in each list should have the unit, V, listed. |
Pg. 648--Prob 2-11b |
answer should be -10 vice 10. |
Pg. 648--Prob 2-45 | Ri=100k should be R1=100k |
Pg. 660--INDEX |
chg the 1st pg for Dynamic Range from "pg 49" to "pg 52" |
Pg. 671--INDEX, 1st column | Change Superimposition to Superposition |
