Read Chapter 10 from Web Pages That Suck.  Then answer the following questions:

1.  Based on these writings, what obstacle will lesson 5 help you to overcome in teaching 8125?

2.   Explain why you, as the instructor, do not have to be the technical expert in order to teach 8125.

3.  Explain the importance of ALT tags and META tags.  What do they do, and why should you include them on your pages?

4.  Why should META tags be different for every page of your site?

5.  What does it mean to "crunch" an image?  Why is it important to do so?

6.  Run a Net Mechanic report on this page.  What is its overall size in kilobytes?

7.  What is the importance of having a hotlinks page?  Describe how you might use it in providing meaningful work to your advanced students.

Read the article entitled, "A Business Web site Should Always Have..."

8.  Examine each of the main points made by the author (points A through E, then points 1 through 6).  Do you agree or disagree with the author?  Explain, particularly if you disagree with the author.
