Internet Marketing for High School Teachers
at
Old Dominion University

1.  List and describe the five stages of building a Web site.

2.  Which of the steps deserves the most attention?  Defend your answer.

3.  You've been approached by Burger Meister, home of the world famous Mac Daddy Super Burger.  Burger Meister is currently a regional franchise that has big plans for worldwide growth (those Mac Daddy's are awesome!).  Having the irreproachable marketing reputation that you do, they want to commission you to develop an effective Web site for them.  Further discussion helps you to understand Yes, this is a Mac Daddy Super Burger!that they have two primary target audiences.  The first is business people who stop to eat lunch during weekday afternoons.  The other is families with young children.  You've decided to take the job since it pays you a significant fee (not that you need it).  Create your objectives or purposes for the site.

4.  What type of content will you provide on your Burger Meister site?  Be specific, and explain why you will include each specific content item. (each content topic should be in support of one of your objectives above.)  Why will each content area be important to your visitors? (for most items, a one sentence explanation should suffice.)

5.  In a list or table, identify your main navigational categories or headings, as well as the corresponding subcategories.  Show the main heading for each subcategory. (the format of your response is not important, as long as it is organized well enough that I can understand your train of thought)

6.  Identify 3 real organizations similar to Burger Meister that have a Web presence, and make at least one a "non-burger restaurant."  List two content ideas that resulted from your search.

Take a peek at your next lesson plan.  I never had the opportunity to implement this one, but I hope you will.
